Uh oh!!
It's Wednesday afternoon and your pastor just called; he wants a script on tithing put together for Sunday. You only have a few days to rehearse. Where do you start? Who do you call that can memorize (or improvise for that matter) in such a short amount of time? Requests happen like that quite frequently, and Drama Ministry is here to help. Often you may get so busy that you forget about the plethora of scripts that Drama Ministry has out there in cyberspace somewhere. So go ahead and read through our topic list. You're sure to find something! Also, if you just can't put your hand on that exact script, feel free to email us and we'll do our best at pointing you in the right direction!
For now, here are a few "hot" topics and great scripts to go along.
Tithing
In Search of Buck: A 1940s "detective story" spoof about money management (the 10-10-80 principle).
The Tithe: Bill attempts to literally show Barry how we can block or open ourselves to further blessings from God.
Divorce
Lego People: A married couple places a want ad in search of a friend who will stick by them in all circumstances.
Now I Gotta Choose: A teenage girl, confused and hurt by her parents? divorce, struggles to not feel bitter for what she sees as a broken promise.
Relationship with God
Bert and Ernie: Roberta and Ernest (a.k.a. Bert and Ernie) are strangers who meet at the bus stop and whose conversations about God lead them on an interesting journey of discovering who God really is.
Namesake: A mother and son talk about his Grandfather, who seems strange and a bit distant. The mother helps the boy understand his Grandfather better. The relationship to the Grandfather is an image of our relationship to God.
